Commissions
I would love the opportunity to create something special for you, whether it be to adorn the walls of your space or to honor a loved one or beloved pet! Below are some commonly asked questions regarding the process.

What is the process of ordering a custom work?
It will begin with a consultation via email in which you will bring your ideas to the table. I ask that you have 2-3 potential photos so that I can see which will give the best results. Please make sure the photos are clear and bright. After we decide on the photo to be used, we will discuss a color direction for the work.

What is your fee for a commissioned piece?
Prices for a custom quilted portrait begin at $2.00 per square inch. However, the final price of the piece will be determined by size, difficulty of design, and materials used. If you are looking for another type of quilt that's not of the portrait genre, I would be happy to discuss other design options as well as those prices may reflect differently. Once a design is agreed upon, I do request an initial deposit which will be discussed during the consultation. The deposit will then be applied to the final cost of the piece once it is completed. In the event the piece is refused, the deposit will be retained to cover the cost of materials and time spent creating the work. My goal is to create something beautiful for you, so I will do everything in my power to ensure that I can do that.

How long does it take?
Once the design has been agreed upon, you should plan for 4-6 weeks for the delivery of your new work of art. Keep in mind, holidays could definitely affect the timeline as these pieces make wonderful gifts! I advise that the sooner you know you want a custom piece, the better, just to ensure you have your completed work on time.
